I called my X husbands wife the other day (you heard that right – we’re buds but that’s another story) … Good morning Janice, how are you?. To my surprise she said, What’s so good about it !!!
Wow! At first I thought maybe she was just having a bad day, she’s always so upbeat. But the more I thought about it, I get it. 2011 brought lots of woes, especially to the housing market.
With home equity still way down, foreclosure troubles, and tightening standards clouding the market, 2011 real estate remained underwater and unsold.
And 2012? “The truth is — four years into this debacle — things are actually getting better, not worse. Believe or not, the economy is finally starting to turn,” according to WealthDaily Jan. 5, 2012.
But according to Zillow Real Estate Research, Dec. 20, 2011, “The experts continue to see a long road ahead in housing recovery”.
So is the glass half full … or half empty for 2012?
